TWE “15 for Teams” Culture and Engagement Survey: FAQ
How long does it take to complete the TWE 15 for Teams Culture and Engagement Survey?
The survey will take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete.
Why do businesses complete surveys like the TWE 15 for Teams Culture and Engagement survey?
Companies go through tremendous growth and change. It is important that leaders be intentional about how they approach growth, change, and bringing people together. To do this, they need to hear from each and every team member, so they can understand your perspective. The survey serves as a starting point to open a conversation with staff, help them direct their time and effort, and give them a baseline to measure if their efforts are paying off.
Does it make sense to complete this survey with the other distractions right now?
Current events have an effect on how people work together on a daily basis. But, they must continue to operate and grow as teams. “The only constant is change”, and leaders want to continue to strengthen the business by making the best decisions possible, at all times.
How will the survey results be used?
Your feedback will be used to understand how people throughout the organization feel. It will also help leadership gather your ideas for change and improvement. While individual responses will not be visible, leaders will develop an understanding of what is important to the company and its teams. They will be able to see where there are patterns, and how they might direct expertise and energy to improve.
Are the results anonymous and confidential?
Individual results will not be seen by leaders or managers. Employing an outside third party to administer the survey enables reasonable anonymity to be maintained. Engagement surveys are different from general surveys in that the feedback has to be combined to provide aggregated information about teams within the organization. TWE, as the third party provider, will be using personal identifiers so that we can organize the data. When it is reported to leaders the data will be aggregated at the team level, without personal identifiers.
What about small teams?
Where teams are small enough to make any anonymity difficult, 2 approaches will be taken. First, small team results will be rolled up into the next level team. And second, if TWE receives feedback specific to a small team that requires follow up, we will take a personalized approach, on a case by case basis.
What if I feel blame, guilt or the fear of retribution?
It is completely natural to feel conflicted when reflecting on our jobs, our leaders, and our peers. All of us will experience a range of emotions when asked to put our thoughts down in words.
Here’s a suggestion: get yourself into a quiet space free of distractions. Take a few deep breaths and just be you. Put down your thoughts as honestly as you can.
We ask for you to be sincere and natural in your feedback, and in turn, leaders will be open-minded and conscientious in what they do with it.
What’s in it for me?
The survey gives others a window into what it’s like to work for your company. With good data from you, leaders can utilize the findings to improve engagement levels and job satisfaction. This will help leaders support and ensure the safety of your people, the health of your culture and the effectiveness of your departments. That’s good for everyone!
