Richard has spent the last 25 years in high-performance sport across 9 Olympic Games as an Olympic team member for Canada, two Games with the British Team and three Olympic Games with the New Zealand Team. His work has focussed on utilizing the best evidence possible to accelerate learning and maximize the performance in individuals and teams.
Richard studied Biomedical Engineering at McGill then a Ph.D. in Medical Science at University of Calgary. He and his wife Donna met at a sport conference in Olympia, Greece; they live in Dunedin, New Zealand, with their four children. Richard is the initiator of 6 successful programmes for international sport preparation:
