He is a frequent writer and speaker on transformational leadership and the management experience, with his work having been published in prestigious journals, including the Journal of Operations Management, the most influential publication in Management Science. His work remains required reading for business students across Canada.

Tim spent his childhood relentlessly asking questions, crafting, inventing, and pushing the limits. As an adult, this converged into a passion for improving businesses.

Michael Fiss

Senior Associate Consultant (Emeritus)

Michael is a strategic leader with a cross-functional background in operations management, data-driven continuous improvement, and transformational leadership.

From his undergraduate BComm degree in Business Process Management to certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he has dedicated his career to making things better.

Michael has worked with some of Canada’s most influential science, technology and engineering companies and takes pride in his reputation as creative problem solver, an imaginative thinker and an inquisitive lifelong learner. He possesses a respectful skepticism for the status quo and enjoys the opportunity to explore and to develop progressive ideas and original solutions for challenging problems in complex environments.

Michael lives in Calgary with his wife Kelsey and their two children.
